Open Question: Why does Taurine make my chest tight - feels like asthma?

I’m on a great diet called the Allergy and Asthma Cure. It’s a great diet and rally helping. I cut my meds down by 75%. I started taking Taurine this morning. Couldn’t find a dose lower than 500mg to start with, so I emptied the capsule until only a quarter was left and took it.

With an half hour, my chest got tight like it does when my asthma and allergies act up. It lessened over the course of the next five hours. The great news is that I’ve never felt so relaxed! Although I felt a little drugged when I first took it. I have panic disorder and agoraphobia and heard it’s great for that. I believe them!

What causes the chest tightness? Should I continue with the Taurine? My blood pressure was 95/68 last time I got it checked. I’m also on Flovent, Cal/Mag, Fish Oil, probiotics, Vit. C, Aloe, Chromiun, B-Complex. Enzymes, Ginger and Gingko.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Open Question: The Truth About Medicine?!?

I’m always pretty worried about my mom and her health. She’s 48 going on 49. She’s going through menopause or gone through, and she’s overweight. I’m only 19 years old, and I want her around as long as possible. And she’s taking thyroid and high blood pressure medicine. She went through some sort of tests at the doctor’s, and found out that her arteries and heart was fine. But, I’m still worried, because she doesn’t seem healthy. Now my uncle (her brother), had a severe thyroid problems as a young teenager that landed him in the hospital for months. He’s now been a “health nut” for a couple of decades and doesn’t take any medicine, and is perfectly healthy. In excellent shape. And I was just wondering what natural remedies are out there that actually work, and improve health. And I’m not trying to so much knock doctors and medicine off, but medicine seems to be stronger than ever, and people seem to be getting sicker. You take this pill, and the side effects cause you to take another. Some recipes, or methods would really help. Thanks in advance!!!

Voting Question: What are some natural ways to lower blood pressure?

I am looking for natural ways to lower blood pressure besides excercise. I know there are supplements and other things besides drugs.

I am not looking for an easy way out. I am looking for alternative ways to lower my blood pressure besides being put on medication. It does not mean I am not willing to diet and it does not mean that I don’t excercise. It means that I don’t want to be on hbp meds.
