Open Question: can you mix melatonin (.3 mg) and chamomile tea (celestial seasonings) for a good sleep mix or not a good mix?

I was just wondering if this was a good mix, because sometimes you hear that some herbs are a good mix. the melatonin I have is 300 mcg(which is the same as .3 mg) thank you.

Open Question: Is there a place to go for about a week to get spa treatment?

I live near Maryland & don’t have alot of money but I set a goal to go to this place. I want my husband & I to get some kind of rejuevenation help cause we went through alot & need to improve our health. I was diagnosed with diabetes & he was with high blood pressure. Where can we go to doing a cleansing & boost up our health? Even if you think it is too expensive let me know but I what prefer something I lower which is why I gave those details.

Open Question: Experienced hallucinogenic/peyote users?

A close friend of mine is considering using peyote.
But I am unsure whether she should or not, considering she has anxiety and is possibly bi-polar. But I’ve heard if used properly, can be a very pleasant/psychologically beneficial and fulfilling experience.
I’d love some input if there should be any special precautions pertaining to this practice?
Any helpful information is appreciated.

Please do not simply say “don’t do it” without expressing logical and intelligent reasoning as well.
Doing otherwise would just waste both of our lives.
Do you think it would be possible if used properly and provided with the right precautions, peyote could be therapeutic for his anxiety?

Much of the research I’ve done has showed no damage if not improvement to psychological health.

Open Question: Does cinnamon interact with any psychotropic medications?

I am a type 2 diabetic but also have type 2 bipolar disorder and anxiety disorder/panic and would like to try cinnamon so I can get off my avandia but I’m not sure if the cinnamon will interact with any of my other medications. I’m trying to loose weight, I’m about 45 pounds overweight, and really want to start exercising, but the motivation is in the toilet. Also, is there anything on the market that I can take to help me lose weight but that won’t throw my heartbeat into overdrive? (That would just cause me to have a panic attack) Thanks to anyone who can help me with this!

Open Question: HRT patches - how long will it take?

I’ve just gone back to using HRT patches after being off them for 5 years. All the symptoms of the menopause came back very quickly after stopping the patches and I have been feeling worse and worse, particularly the hot flushes and night sweats which make me feel really ill and sometimes can last over an hour. I went back to the doctor and asked her to put me back onto HRT which she has done. I can’t remember how long it took for me to feel the benefit I just wondered if anyone knows. I am feeling really bad at the moment getting sweats every hour or so, does anyone know when it will start to improve.

For the past five months I’ve had a lot of trouble getting to sleep so I started taking unisom to get to sleep. I ended up taking two of them (100mg) to get to sleep at night. Now I’ve managed to wean myself to 25mg. Is it alright to take this small of an amount daily?
