I was on birth control for 4 years. Then started getting migraines from it. My doctor started switching brands and dosages. One pill last summer caused my body to stop producing estrogen (the estrogen in the pill was too low for my body, and started mimicking menopause. I was getting hot flashes and no/very very light periods).
I stopped taking the pill after that particular event, my period started again, but it was very light. My periods used to last 4-5 days and have a normal flow, but now they’re only approx 2 days with very light flow.
Do you thing this was caused by the pill? Has anyone else experienced this? How to I get my regular period back? It’s annoying, because most of the time, it’s too light to wear tampons.
